The former president's Family Member Gets Professional Advice from Tiger Woods Prior to Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star maintains considerable online following
Kai Trump will have multiple well-known supporters when she starts her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, obtained a tournament invitation to play at the Annika competition in Florida.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, operates numerous courses worldwide and often competes against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we play competitive games," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that Trump, who won't be present, counseled her: "Just don't get nervous."
"He basically told me to go out there and have fun," she added.
"To me, he's just a regular grandfather. He can't make it for the tournament. He's busy with presidential duties, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
While still amateur, the golfer has competed in only three events recently and has the 461st position in AJGA standings.
Yet she can seek guidance from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with Kai's mother.
"He stands as the best player worldwide," Kai expressed.
"And he's a more impressive human being. He advised me to go out there, relax, following the flow."
She'll challenge multiple most prominent players in professional golf at the competition, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers stated that Kai's presence brings golf to new audiences, particularly with the next generation.
The young star boasts millions of followers and just introduced her own apparel and wellness company.
The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
