The 30-year-old golfer demonstrated remarkable composure to secure the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship on Sunday, beating Tommy Fleetwood in a dramatic play-off following a rollercoaster last day of play.

The Englishman nailed a crucial birdie from just over eight foot to clinch the win, repeating his sole prior Rolex Series success at the Scottish Open in 2020, which was likewise a playoff win against the same opponent.

Sunday's Play Excitement

Højgaard fired six birdie putts of his as well, but his hopes of leading the standings were hit by a dropped shot on the twelfth. England’s Mansell hit an excellent last round 63 to finish in a tie for fifth place with Australian Daniel Hillier.
