FC Barcelona to Host Historic Fixture at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in domestic competition two and a half years after they moved out for construction to commence.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. When completed, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced finished work included a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.

Preparatory Events

Barça organized a public practice on the home pitch earlier this month. The club said approval is being pursued from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt next month in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
