Acclaimed young adult author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the company commented: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at female individuals.
The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, having sold over six tens of millions of copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books combined, including a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
