A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later released.
Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
